The CEO Hour: How to Reclaim Your Schedule Every Week

Running a business can feel like juggling flaming swords while riding a unicycle. And if you’re wearing all the hats (like most of us multi-hustlers are), it’s way too easy to fall into reactive mode—putting out fires, responding to DMs, and wondering where your time actually went.

Enter: The CEO Hour—your secret weapon for reclaiming control of your week before it runs you.

This isn’t just a block on your calendar. It’s a weekly ritual that keeps you aligned, focused, and strategic—no chaos required.

πŸ•’ What Is the CEO Hour?

The CEO Hour is a non-negotiable, once-a-week date with yourself to check in on your business, review your priorities, and plan your time like the boss you are.

I usually do mine every Monday morning with coffee in one hand and my planner in the other.

✅ What to Do During Your CEO Hour

Here’s what I review and plan each week:

1. Review Last Week

  • What got done?
  • What didn’t?
  • What felt aligned (and what didn’t)?
  • Any wins to celebrate?

This part is all about awareness. No judgment, just data.

2. Check the Numbers

  • Income + expenses (quick glance is enough)
  • Pending invoices or bills
  • Any metrics you’re tracking (followers, email subs, etc.)

Money clarity = mindset clarity.

3. Brain Dump & Prioritize

  • Get everything out of your head (tasks, ideas, reminders)
  • Drop it into Trello, ClickUp, Google Tasks—whatever works for you
  • Highlight 3 main priorities for the week

This step clears mental clutter and helps you work smarter, not harder.

4. Block Your Calendar

  • Add time blocks for your top priorities
  • Schedule meetings, deadlines, CEO Hour for next week
  • Make space for rest, too (seriously)

If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t exist.

5. Set the Vibe

  • Light a candle. Make a playlist. Open your favorite planner.
  • This isn’t just admin time—it’s vision time.

You’re not just surviving the week—you’re leading it.

🧘‍♀️ Why It Matters

Your CEO Hour helps you:

  • Stay proactive instead of reactive
  • Avoid burnout by planning intentionally
  • Focus on what actually moves the needle
  • Feel grounded instead of scattered

✍️ My Ritual

Here’s what my CEO Hour usually looks like:

  • 8:00 AM Monday
  • Coffee + journal + laptop
  • Review Trello board
  • Check finances in Google Sheets
  • Prioritize 3 tasks across all my businesses
  • Time-block the week in Google Calendar
  • Light a candle and remind myself: You got this
